Nice lantern and in fine shape! I am a big fan of these myself and really enjoy seeing them go. Hope you will as well. Ulf.

I probably will never light it as it has never been lit.Or should I?

Moved to 'M1B' after identification, and title amended.

The conundrum! Some say a lantern was made to be used.
Only you can answer that question but if it were mine I wouldn't light it.

    Very nice find, congratulations.

Completely agree ... it depends how you're tuned! I have a few minty ones that I won't light, but in those cases I have a duplicate (or find one) that I can and will use. In my case I find I can't truly get a feel for something unless I see it running/working, hear it, smell it, see it in action -- cars etc. But that's a personal preference. It's a swell lantern whether you choose to fire it or admire it.

I am the kind of person who would never write in a book. Even a journal. Fortunately I have a couple of nice vintage Colemans that I can fire up when I need to
