    Fired up the 930 for some welcome light during loadshedding tonight.

    Nothing nicer than the gentle hiss and warm glow as a contrast to the noisy generators running in our neighbourhood.

    Coincidentally I had my 930 lit tonight as well. I started using it when I got it with a genuine Optimus mantle and was underwhelmed with the light. Switched to a larger peerless (a 1111 I think it was) and it is so much brighter and burns great! I was surprised for such a small lamp.

    Looks good. They give enough light to compete with the larger 350 cp lanterns. They do get hotter than a Coleman 249 lantern.

    Thanks all. Yes mine also gets warm but I keep the brightness moderate and it’s never too warm to touch.
