I am looking at purchasing an incredibly good looking CQ lamp and worry whether it may have problems that aren't so apparent to me at first glance. I'm confident that I can repair/replace individual components, but I worry about fount leaks. What do you folks think about my included pic of the lamp I'm considering? It's a pic from the seller. Notice the two areas that look like splits in the upper right and lower right of the pic? Is this something to fear? Common? Thoughts appreciated.

    Welcome aboard!
The bottom of a CQ., tank is made from steel, so there is always the chance of leaks and sometimes they rust from the inside, having said that, they are a well built lamp, the decision is yours.

May just be the plating that has cracked and peeling off but hard to tell.
