Hi! The lamp is not mine. The images are from a public auction site. The object is sold. I didn't found any optimus 265 in the gallery, therefore the post. I hope that it is ok. Cheers, Francisc
@Carlsson I don't think it is a frankies. Se the pamflet from this post. The top looks great. OPTIMUS model.253 /Francisc
The globe appears also different from the more usuale 25x serie, it looks wider att the bottom. The top is longer than 25x. I like it.
Yes, I agree that it's similar to the catalogue illustration, but the top really don't sit right on the globe. I also think the tank is a bit to low on the sides.
I put both images in the same post. I don't iwn one, never had one in my hands so i don't know. I understand what you say about the topp, it apears that it doesn't sit the hole way down.
It looks correct to me for a late 1930s or early 1940s variant. The top is possibly not sitting all the way down, but it is the correct top. The tank is also correct for a mid to late 1930s variant. The globe is significantly different from the 25x one. It has the same height as the normal straight sided glass for a 200. The lamp also has the same vapouriser as the 200 as opposed to the 25x which is longer.
@Nils Stephenson i saw it today. I was looking strikt after 263 and therefore i missed it. Have a great day! /Francisc
