I’ve been a bit quiet on CPL for the last five weeks as I’ve been on a long road trip around southern Australia catching up with relatives and close friends I’ve not seen since the Covid pandemic hit. A few thousand kilometres, 3 States, one Territory, and two ferry crossings of Bass Strait. I picked up the last box of things of Bob Bauer RIP (@Lamp_Doctor) that I’d not had the chance to bring home for a couple of years. Here are three highlights: Thanks, @Anthony and @Lamp_Doctor. Cheers Tony
Congrats for the Px 822 Baby pre war lamp. That's a rare bird and hopefully will be shining again. Matthias
@Tony Press That's a fast reanimation of this old lady of 1934, and she's working well. Thanks a lot for showing. Matthias
NICE! Ive been telling myself I was done with Coleman for while but I never said anything about these other varieties!~
Hello, yesterday I received this glass for a petromax kerosene lamp with dimensions of 100x74 mm and I would like to know which type it belongs to. Would you be willing to check if the dimensions match your Petromax in the photo? Thank you very much!
Dimensions of globes can be found here: PETROMAX NUMBERS Looking at the glass mark, you have an old globe there. Guessing 100/150Hk or 200/250Hk?
@Dan Bittner Your glass is much smaller than the glass on that Petromax above, which is now in the Reference Gallery, here: Petromax 822 "Baby" Table Lamp (5 1934). It’s glass is 89mm diameter and 100mm high. Best regards Tony
Woops! I note a typo in my post above: The dimensions of the glass are 89mm diameter and 106mm high. Tony
