    Good morning,

I know this subject has been hashed before but I am not willing to play the price game for replacement glass in this country any more.

Made 2 mesh globes for my 249 and 237 which are my camping companions.

Used .6mm stainless steel strips and 20 SS mesh and spot welded them together.

Clearly not as glaringly bright as glass but a very nice softer light ideal for camping. And seems very robust.

    They look good
I have used SS mesh globes on lanterns also. Very effective and robust.

    Looks good.
I used the inner and outer mesh from a Land Rover air filter. Both lanterns now leak.
