This landed on my bench yesterday - Coleman 241G Canada 3/62.

Not in the best of condition but complete. Serviced the NRV and replaced the generator with a new 201 as the old one was FUBAR. Rinsed the fount filled with fresh fuel and fired her up. Runs quiet with no fuss.

Not sure yet how far i will take any work on this lantern. Coleman 241G.jpg Coleman 241G.1.jpeg Coleman 241G.jpeg Coleman 241G.3.jpg

    Thank you guys,
Always nice to find one on your wanted list.

Been thinking about the repair on the hood. When stripping the skin off a Land Rover door you rub the edge with a bar of sunlight soap and heat it with a torch until the soap changes to a black color. The aluminum is then annealed enough to bend the seam open. You anneal the same way again when you fit the skin again. Never had any stress marks or cracks doing it that way. I also know that it is Birmabright and definitely not the same ally as the hood.

    Anyone tried this before?
