This is a very good repair to a Tilley part 449 hood (the one that fits EX4 and EX100 and the Kayen AP2 lanterns). It came on a Kayen AP2. The hood had obviously had a hard life and lost its domed top section, as well as the hook for the wire globe holder. The latter was replaced by the use of three screw in holes drilled into the hood. The top domed part was replaced by a curved piece of steel which appears to be quite springy. It was cut so that it had two tabs that would hold the piece hard onto the lower part of the hood: It works well. Cheers Tony
