1925 Coleman LZ427

Last light-up for this one for the foreseeable future. Many more pinholes waiting to poke through, but I'm sure proud to own it anyhow





















Here it is as found with a couple coats of paint and the wrong vent, globe and fuel cap should be the scalloped version

 

Lovely old thing.. really like the end of the pump rod :-)

 

Well done on your resurrection of such an iconic lantern.
Maybe the founts life could be extended using POR-15 or similar. Just a thought.

A lucky find.

 

I ended up finding a good correct fount for this one. Gave it a polish and it really turned out nice. Much happier with it now.

 

Nice restoration of its function. When pinholes start to emerge, the fount is probably too far gone.
