Hi all Here is my Tilley 0L-50 that is close to being finished, little rough here and there however, I can't decide if to paint the donut tank black, and leave the seam copper as per original, or, leave the tank semi polished copper, like it is now, and leave it to get a natural patina, i mean, i really like it as it is as I think a copper tank is worth showing, and is a nice contrast against the black, but when I got the lamp it was painted but not enough remaining to keep, so what do you guys think? paint it as original? or leave it as it is currently? any input is much appreciated and thanks for looking. This is how it was when i got it This is how it looks now. Hanging from its new home Again thanks for looking and hope to get it lit soon for the 1st time in 50ish years... apparently
Enjoy it as it is for a while and consider painting it if it bothers you - easier to put on than take off (as you know ). If weatherproofing is a concern then paint I think.
