    Here is a rare lamp that has come to me for a visit to fettle
    It can be hung on the top ring or mounted on a post i think.
    It runs on parrafin after a preheat with meths.
    Once the fuel is turned on the vapourised gas supplies the mantles and a preheat device in the spirit cup really clever design and keeps the generator hot like this design well thought out.
    Had it running but not with mantles as yet.
    Neil has one of these his photos show more detail than my post on this type of lamp.

    Looks great, I have the same lantern but never started to restore it.
    The whole pricker part is corroded and the tank has stress cracks.

    This make 5 now of a rare beast from 1914 at the latest as the company ceased trading at the start of WW1. As far as I know just two actually working now. There is an unrestored one in the Bruges chocolate museum and one other probably still in Belgium but I don't know if the owner got it to run. ::Neil::

    Nice to see his lamp going that must be a strong pole its on. You dont happen to know what glass he is using do you?
    After seeing the pictures i remembered the reflector is sat in the celler forgot to put it on
