Just purchased my first lamp. It will need some work, but I need to learn on something. Its not here yet but I have pics. I think its a nulite 100 from the pictures. What fuel does it use?
Sweet lamp. It burns Coleman fuel and uses Coleman 21A mantles, or equivalent. A standard Coleman lamp or iron pump will work. The umbrella on the generator holds and distributes the heat from a match head when lighting. Check it for leaks first then fire that baby up.
Can't be model 100 because that is the Storm KIng Lantern. We actually don't have this one catalogued or illustrated anywhere and I suspect it is actually a Montgomery Ward mail order product made by Nulilte. Nearest I can get is an early version of Nulite model 110M. Has to date to around mid to late 1920s. ::Neil::
It is a match lighting lamp with that generator so it will be an M type therefore model 110M. I have big gaps in the paper for Nulite and this one is not in any of my paper. These are so simple to fettle it will be an easy fix to run. All you have to do is make sure the filler valve is free with the check valve working OK and then see if the generator passes fuel. This is one old geneator that can be restored if it is plugged. Because it is a straight tube it can be drilled out and repacked. No reason this one should not run. ::Neil::
Nulite seem to have used the same shade for their table lamps for many years. For model 110 and 110M it is this one illustrated here from the 1923 catalogue but I have the same shade showing in 1917. Not an easy thing to find now but just about any 10" gas shade will fit and work OK. The lamp shown here is not the same as yours as it has the flat frame burner support which I think may be a year or so later than your lamp. ::Neil::
