Hi all. I've been conspicuous by my absence lately but I've been busy with my Bonsai to tell the truth. Summer (If you can call it that) can be a busy time in the Bonsai world. I've also been doing a bit of travelling this year too. Cyprus, Marrakesh and camping in The Lakes. The Lakes was a full on PARAFFIN POWER do. I took 3 storm lamps 2 stoves 2 R1's and 1 FL6. Guess who had the warmest, brightest and best fed camp on the site. LOL The site, Hollows Farm Near Grange in Borrowdale, was VERY basic. Pitch black at night in the middle of forest and hills with no electricity Except solar lighting in the toilet block which quickly ran out. The old FL6 lit up just about the whole site when I fired it up. The Tilley x246a and x246b worked perfectly as did the Bialladin 315. Great when we were sat around on a night with a drop of the Scottish wine lol. The stoves were a Primus 51 and an optimus 111. Had to use the primus on the mornings to make tea coz the Optimus was so bloody loud. I was afraid of waking the other campers. What a great little stove they are. To top it all off we had the 2 Tilley R1's to warm our toes on the night when it started to get a but cooler. All in all a great trip. I'll be posting some pics shortly Ozz
sounds like the perfect camping trip. At least I live a quite comfortable life normal days. Then it's really refreshing to have a few days primitive living. Being able to combine with our hobby make just better. Best regards Joakim ps: make some picturs of your bonsai as well.
Hi strömberg I have posted some pics of my bonsai. Check out some of my posts. I have some new pics of them and I will post them too. I love to light up my bonsai garden with pressure lamps. They have such an amazing glow. Believe it or not I'm an electrician by trade too.
