Hello all, wow ain't I excited to got these Tilley lamps delivered today.:D/
These are from a mate in the UK, where we made a deal and swapped lamps.
We both got what we wanted, for me it was the rarer lamps to find in Australia, and vice versa for my mate in the UK.
So what we have here according to Jim Dicks book, Page 63 is the SL61 Wall Lamp and the other one is a ML93, Both of these lamps are a first for me, so as you can imagine yes I'm over the moon with joy to have these in my collection.:)
Another reason why this Forum rocks, if your lucky enough to find, as I have a mate or 2 or more, trading is a great way to expand our collections, it's a win win for both party's.
Here are some photos as I received them.

So this is what I have done, firstly I had to sacrifice a Tilley TL106 Table Lamp for its gallery, burner, and globe, which is fine by me as I have quite a few of them and this one wasn't restored as yet, or maybe never now will be.?
The rest of the parts I had as spares.
    So here they are completed.

    Thanks for looking.

    @Buggerlugs

Are you able to take a couple of detail photos of the hanging fitting on the SL 61 (from the tank bottom side)?

I have just received one of these and I need to do a small repair to the solder where the fitting meets the tank.

    Cheers

    Tony

Two wonderful additions to your collection Brian. I'm sure you will have them operational and looking their best in no time. Congratulations

Certainly a nice addition to the collection. Like the wall lamp in particular.

Hi all, an update on my Tilley ML93.
Thanks to @Anthony, for providing me with, what I believe was his last ML base.
I would like to say a big thank you to Anthony, as I wouldn't have been able to make one myself, especially one like the quality of this base.
    Now I can change my ML93 into a ML98.
Lucky for me it hasn't been stained as yet, which is perfect for me.
I think I'm tending to go for a darker red stain colour.
    Here are some photos.

Wow what a difference a base can make, and will hopefully look even better after staining.
    Thanks, l love this Forum.

@Dean D , I thought I had run out before finding this one.
Brian got the one that were reject bits but I still had the glue in my hand and figured I may as well glue it.
I am thinking about doing another batch.

Hello all, just an update on the SL61 Wall Lamp.
I have changed the hood to another original one, in better condition, added an original 182 Tilley globe and bug catchers top and bottom, and NOS air buttons.
First are the money shots, next are after a good old polish.
Deciding whether to respray as it was originally gold painted.

    Thanks.
