Well the bug is setting in. Went for a look for a lamp for Scouts to practice on instead of my own ones (which were bought for Scouts......) and came back with 9. 3 are dated 1960/1970. One looks like it has a blown bottom but not sure. The rest are in the photos. Some fettling to be done now!
But 2 of the onion globes are cracked at the bottom! Oh well, plently to fettle. Got 2 vapourisers and 2 mantles in the box as well. Cheers
Hello Brian, those glasses will do for display if you glue over the cracks, but don't put them on a working lamp. The ML., is a pre 1940 example and it has it's original pump and an XN., control cock. Jeff.
Well done Brian , that is what I call a "result" . When you told me about going to that old shop I had a feeling that you would be lucky. Even the two Pork Pie Tilleys are great to have; I like them a lot . You will have plenty to do this winter! Steve
