This is my most recent 249 which was given to me as a gift.
It seemed to be all original except for a brand new generator and pump leather. The burner cap was unusable and there was a crack in the fount at the filler bung. I have run out of spare burner caps so used one from a gas lamp and sil-brazed it to a burner tube with damaged threads.
I also sil-brazed the crack in the fount.

A good repair, the 249's are one of my favourite lanterns.

    Hi @Leonardo Collares

have a look at either side of the lower writing for some letter stamps? The 3 signifies the 3rd month (I hope)

    Well saved.
Must have been quite a lot of silbrazing work there.

I have just noticed now that the pump cap has two oil holes. 20241220_090325.jpg
