I found this one last year but only bought it this year.
It is the third of the same date 237 and thankfully this one doesn't have a pinholed fount.
All three are identical with the dark green vent.
    My January 1948 Empire and 236 Major have 20250123_163727.jpg 20250123_163727.jpg 20250123_142322.jpg 20250123_142333.jpg 20250123_142544.jpg 20250123_142821.jpg 20250123_142833.jpg 20250123_142848.jpg 20250123_142854.jpg 20250123_142921.jpg 20250123_143046.jpg 20250123_143153.jpg 20250123_143424.jpg 20250123_160144.jpg 20250123_160218.jpg 20250123_160512.jpg the seafoam colour vent.

Nice lantern. I think the 236 and 237 lanterns are excellent Coleman products. The Canadian editions turn up reasonably often in Australia.

    Cheers

Thank you. I have only found one 236 here which had a 237 conversion done to it ( or it was a 237 with a 236 Major collar) which I changed by fitting a 236 generator and valve assembly.
The other 236 I have came from Namibia.

the 236 and 237 are two of the best Coleman made. There are others of course but those two are pretty darn solid.
