I have this Optimus 930 fully fettled and running like a champion but when I received it the preheater cup was rattling around loose with no obvious means of securing it. I have looked through the lamp reference library for a photo showing possibly a clip of some sort but the photos more or less seem to show the cup permanently attached? So the question is how are these attached? I have made a rudimentary clip out of thick copper wire but I would prefer to have something closer to the original.
Mine was spot welded in my 930. I have to take mine off due to rust issues and now I am going to send it to get it plated.
When you get it back from the platers will you spot weld it back onto the globe rest or make some sort of clip?
