    Hi all
    My first post,so please excuse mistakes i might do or say!
    Got this lamp few hours ago,and I'm cleaning it.Managed to get some readings of it.First, bottom stamp is 4111.That would make it 41 week of 1961,day 1.
    Next,knurling is 1971.Antit-wist device,one side has,the other doesn't.
    Pump lever is short,after 1962.
    Hood and tank stamped Made in germany,REGD.
    Glass has a logo, usual Petromax and another one,Schott Mainz.
    Also, this particular preheater seems to have been patented in 1974.(I might be wrong about this one.
    Also has the reinforcement bar on the preheather.
    The nozzle is stamped Petromax too.
    I believe the lamp has all original parts, according to the seller, has been in the family for a long time, not tuched for more than 25-30 years.
    Can you guys and gals(if any),shed some light on the date please?
    BTW,cleaning in progress!
    I've attached some pictures too.
    Thank you!

    @Krl
    Welcome to the forum

    Your Petromax Rapid 828 was manufactured in 1971, on a Monday in week 41 .
    The code for the 1960s applies from 1961 to 1972 !
    Petromax did not change the code for the last three years of production in West Germany. However, the lanterns differ due to minor structural changes.
