    Hello, I am not here to get an appraisal for this piece; I am simply looking for information and I believe this is the best place to find it. I believe it is an antique parlor lamp. I don't have much data regarding this lamp, other than the fact that it comes from Italy. Thank you.

    The lamp is made of brass and features a distinctive insignia: a letter 'M' inside a circle engraved on the tank. It also has a wavy, amber-colored glass shade. I am looking for any historical data, catalogs, or technical details about this specific Italian Petrolgas model.

    Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

    @Ramon

    That is a kerosene stove with a glass top sitting on it and a chimney of some sort.

    It is not a palor lamp except by distortion.

    Hello @Ramon this is not a lamp, but a kerosene pressure stove with (noisy burner), where someone has fitted a glass bulb and a kind of chimney on top. The glass will not survive if the burner is lit, and apart from that it will burn with a non-luminous flame and thus emit almost no light.
    I haven't seen / heard about the make "Petrolgas" yet, but maybe someone of the fellow collectors has an idea.

    Well, looks like I’ve bought a Franken-lantern! It’s a bit of a monster, isn't it?
