Here are some recent pictures of one of my 9950 Powermax lanterns. Canister is a 300 gram from 2008.

It's the one on the left, these are very bright and noisy.

I had an excursion lantern (9970) that o sold recently due to not finding those canisters and the lack of interest in butane stuff. Nice to see some people enjoying these but I’m more into the kerosene side.

I personally prefer to use Coleman fuel first especially in cold weather, and propane for convenience and for use in tents, and butane third or when small pack size maters. When I got into these canisters over a decade ago the fuel was already being discontinued and dirt cheap, so I stocked up, then I bought the Coleman adapters for their stoves. Because of the design they perform really well below freezing and I even used them hunting one year. For now, I'll just enjoy them for what they are until I run out of fuel.
