I'm very new to this, having started collecting lamps last month. Left to right: New Petromax HK500, with replacement ceramic nozzle from Base Camp, the original having been cross threaded at the factory and crumbled. The pump is rubbish ; takes more than 100 pumps to get any where. 1957 Tilley 246 Guardsman with welded carrier handle 1949-1954 Tilley 246 Guardsman with bent carrier handle. 1972 Tilley 246B.
A nice little collection. Yes, it is addictive! I particularly like the Toyotomi radiant paraffin heater. There's a video posted on here showing them being made: Trains & Tilleys & more. Very fascinating to watch, and to think that a technologically advanced country like Japan is still making and using paraffin heaters. Even though they are old technology, they're still hard to beat.
