1945 Primus 1080

    Hello,

    This is my Primus 1080 from 1945, it seems to me that the 1080, is not as common as the 1081.

    Seems to be a good runner !

    Nice lantern! I have a 1081 and have never seen one 1080 in this side of the pond

    Very nice Frederik. Good to see the nickel on the top part. :)

    My personal guess is that the only reason people bought these types of lamps was to get the quick starter. Without them it wasn't worth the extra expense compared to a 1020.

    That is a very beautiful 1080. I also have one, but the plating on the ventilator of mine is in poor condition.

    The plating on these 980/981 and 1080/1081 are always bad, this one is also bad, even though it looks somewhat ok.

    Hello Nils, Some plating is still there, but looks better than it is. I agree the 1080 was probably more expensive than the well proven 1020.

    Hello, the 1081, you see time to time, but the 1080 is not very common here either.
