Working on a 1960s caravan, which used morco no2 gas lights, pondering gas mantles and a suitable replacement, there are a number of general gas lamp mantles that would fit, but thought would ask if anyones already invented the wheel.
Sounds cool at least one member mentioned they had a caravan a little while ago .. perhaps they could help? @Gary Waller
@kettle what is the make of caravan you have. No2 inverted gas mantles are available, quite expensive last time I looked, unless you drop lucky on some new old stock. The main issue I found is that they don't last like mantles do in pressure lamps.
@kettle excellent, we have used the gas lights several times they give a lovely light and heat. Good luck.
Heat and light are why im looking at gaslights, both heat and light in one is excellent, been rebuilding bits by paraffin lamplight, a ww2 example
Its a month long refit to get it habitable and painted to keep the farmer happy as his tourist season starts in april, lots to do
Thought i would leave technical sheets i found here in case anybody searches for these lights in the future
