Morco no2 gas light

    Working on a 1960s caravan, which used morco no2 gas lights, pondering gas mantles and a suitable replacement, there are a number of general gas lamp mantles that would fit, but thought would ask if anyones already invented the wheel.

    at least one member mentioned they had a caravan a little while ago .. perhaps they could help?

    @kettle what is the make of caravan you have. No2 inverted gas mantles are available, quite expensive last time I looked, unless you drop lucky on some new old stock. The main issue I found is that they don't last like mantles do in pressure lamps.

    1963 cheltenham puku 4, the gas lights are on the to do list

    @kettle excellent, we have used the gas lights several times they give a lovely light and heat. Good luck.

    Heat and light are why im looking at gaslights, both heat and light in one is excellent, been rebuilding bits by paraffin lamplight, a ww2 example

    Its a month long refit to get it habitable and painted to keep the farmer happy as his tourist season starts in april, lots to do
