This must be the most common of the vase lamp colours and I think was the first colour I
found. Interesting shade though and the birds almost match in colour.

    I like that shade!
And the birds definately match colourwise, strangely enough, because to me those green-headed ducks look very much like mallards.
...Just apart from that very colour that match your vase

This is another of my shades found in a wee antique shop up in Moray. It was cheap as chips because of the chip on the rim. What was it about Tilley and ducks? IMG_6991.jpeg

    Are they Mallard ducks?

Around that time there were also decorative ducks that folks would display on a wall.. usually 3 flying in a line

Interesting all this talk of ducks on lamp shades and walls into the fifties and sixties. Luckily, I am not old enough to remember seeing the ducks lined up on a wall.

My grandmother had three cast brass ducks hung on the wall next to the fireplace.
    That was quite enough.

I remember them too, not least because they were "the wrong way round". Normally, the largest duck was at the bottom of the flight and they got smaller as they flew up and away but not on Jack and Vera's wall!
