Since this isn't a pressurized lantern, I'm posting it here. Please delete if inappropriate. I recently learned about this Japanese kerosene lamp. It's unpressurized, but the flame shoots out downwards. It works by creating convection through heat inside the glass, which pulls the flame downwards. It was sold in Japan over 100 years ago. A collector told me it was used for household purposes and for squid fishing. I bought one from a collector, and repaired another junk item. I'm using it as lighting in my motorcycle garage. Did lamps like this exist anywhere in the world? Since the CPL members are so knowledgeable, please let me know if you know the answer. Thank you.
