    There’s likely a few of these in Australia and NZ but this one came from the US. My first trade! I’ve never actually let go of a lantern until now.

    Dated 2/51 it’s an early example with a steel collar. I added a spare red sunrise globe which would come with the later production, the old green sunrise would be correct for this one I believe, but it sure looks good.

    What surprised me the most is that the vent screw not only attaches the vent, but also seals the mixing chamber. I expected it to be more like a 242 junior, screwing into an already sealed chamber. Whilst I appreciate it’s designed to be more affordable, it seems like a dangerous way of cutting costs.

    Will make sure it’s tight before firing it up :lol:
