Hello guys, new member here, I'm from Holland and Im always tinkering with old lamps and heaters, I recently acquired a storm king, but it's missing the cap or ring to keep the pressure valve in place also the litte bolt that goes into the valve to shut it completely,. Because I'm from Holland, we have different bolt and nut treats, metric, So I can't find replacement parts, also because the lamp is super rare here,. Can some one conferm that maybe a coleman ring would fit,. Also, I need to know how to proper light this one up. Because it has no spirit prewarmer cup, It gives lots of flames before it's finally warm enough, then it Wil burn ok,
Is your lamp made of brass? All the nulite stormkings i have seen are all steel. There are many lamps look similar to the stormking by other manufacturers usually better quality metal.
Hi @Loe and welcome ! there is a brass lantern made in Holland called “Summit” perhaps this is one? have a search and see what you think? member @Scott D restored one very similar and the heat shield was marked Summit so perhaps it is missing from yours?
Thanx, That shure looks like it, It must be a copy of the nulite,, Stil some questions about the ring holding the pressure valve in place, can't find aring that fits, and how do I lite this baby up in a safe way, I know how to lite it unsafe, lol
These stormking clones are usually petrol / coleman fuel fed lamps. When i light mine up i just use a tilley torch clipped on the generator for a bit as a heat source put pressure in the tank then open the control valve. Got a couple of these once up and running very reliable. Your main problem is the tank filler needs the central screw to seal the pressure in. Summit 266A
