Hi Folks, I haven't posted here in a while, but today I bought this lamp for about 35 euros. It turns on, but I think there's some problem with the generator. I'm sharing some pictures, including one of the lamp lit up. Perhaps you have any suggestions. I'm not familiar with the history or quality of the Estelar brand. Is it as good as an English or German brand? Cheersfrom Chile Southamerica @BigStevie
Estelar was a Spanish brand. It was founded by Artur Klaebisch, the general importer for Petromax in Spain (Klaebisch-Petromax ).When the supply of spare parts collapsed due the Second World War,Klaebisch established the Estelar brand. Klaebisch was married to a Spanish woman ,and they had a daughter who also contributed several Patents relaxed to pressure lamps. Estelar pressure lamps were very similar to these made by Petromax. The Estelar Tipo 821 lacks a carburetor valve, making it simpleto operate. After cleaning the carburetor, your lamp should function again. However,it is prone to the J-tube glowing red-hot.
@Reinhard That's a great story about this beautiful lamp. Thank you for the information. I think I'll completely disassemble it, clean all the parts, and then we'll see how it lights up. The seller sent me this picture; it was one of his attempts to turn it on.
