Just got back from the local Australian hardware store and Shellite now $68.50 (AUD) for 4 litres. Kerosene about $35.00 (AUD) for 4 litres. I looked a couple months back and I thought Shellite was expensive then around the $40 mark for 4 litres. My goodness. Wonder what I can convert to run on Metho ($22 for 4 litres) or LPG?
Most kero lamps wil run on diesel, Diesel now days is mutch cleaner then 40 years ago,no sulfer, and petrol can be used for coleman fuel, no more led in fuel I run my wick lamps on diesel now, gives same light and less smell. Thanks @Loe I think I will try to make more use of cheaper fuels but only on a few test units for camping.
