Hi fellas, I’ve had this nothernstar for a long time. I tried getting it going and the ignition is not working. I replaced the battery cleaned up the terminals. Nothing happened. Is my unit buggered or fixable or just toss it and get a replacement.
I can see a lot of oxidation already, take the battery holder apart, and clear all oxide on connectors, if that isn't working U need to take the burner apart to,. Lots of connectors with oxide I guess
I don't have a Northstar, but as I understand it's pretty common for the ignition to fail. I recently got one for my brother in an order from OCP. I'd be interested to know if you do have any success getting it working again though, if I do come across one with a failing ignition in future.
