Hi just wanting some information on this Gloria lamp I have had in the shed for years.. glass is in complete condition and all knobs seeming to work any advice or information greatly appreciated

Welcome to CPL @Meld A rare lantern from the 1930's and should clean up nicely. It runs on Shellite not kerosene. The thin tube with holes that is next to the vapouriser is a preheater. It heats the vapouriser to initialy vapourise the fuel. Compare yours to these two Gloria Lantern (Australia) Gloria Lantern (Australia; 1930s; PLC Model W)
Nice lantern. Whilst seemingly complete, you should not attempt to light it as all seals and washers most likely need replacement and then testing in line with pre-lighting safety procedures.
Very cool find. Follow the advice from the fellas above when servicing it. Your lantern has beautiful patina to show. A good wash may be all it needs. Hours of fun the sun in a jar
