I have few lamps with different power. Example Primus 991, Optimus 300, Hasag 351L and Optimus 1551/500. So I can test various things. I also "know" few socks index value, because it is mentioned somewhere. Example sock pouch or selling description. I also have some reference socks from known manufacturer like Luxor or Auer. Well what I "investigate"? Example I have is Butterfly 500/600 CP socs. That one is 10cm wide when it is in it's packet. Then there is 8,5cm and 6,5cm versions. Those have quite big eyed net, so if I calculate 10x10/0,2 I can get value 500. That is pretty close what that sock can be. 8,5x8,5/0,2 makes ~361, what is pretty close 300/400 CP class 6,5x6,5/0,2 makes ~ 211, what is pretty close to 200 CP. When there is those "tubular" style socs, those are much smaller eyed net, so if I calculate example 6x8/0,16 (or 60x80/16) I get 300. That is close what sellers says of these socks. So, I have example 5x7cm socks, That makes ~219. 70x85/16 makes ~372 witch is 300 / 400 class etc. I'm not say that is the truth, but give a some point what lamp is potential test lamp when you get these socks or when you make your order... That is worked for me quite well by now. Otherwise those packs include usually much different sizes, so using that kind of calculation, you can forking a littlebit what you have =) That is not science, just fun and hobby.
I got few different "manufacturer" Chinese 10cm ball type mantles. What I noticed are, if there is pink tying string, then mantle shrink very much and glow much whiter than if there is uncoated white tying string. And that could be in any brand pouch or unbranded. And both "types" pouches is marked 500/600 CP, if that is told at all. These with pink string, works 300CP lantern very well too. But with white string 300CP lantern left more yellowish. 450 and 500CP lanterns burns white string versions nicely, but pink string versions worn pretty fast. Next, when I got my Geiger counter, I can check if there is radiation too...
I'm not say that is truth and always true. But now I have three different "Brands" with pink string and all behave same way. Each one is ordered different shopping place. I have also couple different "Brands" with white strings and those all behave same way. Perhaps there is some kind of color coding to the properties. =)
I have found that older Anchor 500 cp., mantles work well, but some of the more modern ones are better suited for 300 cp., lanterns and the Butterfly mantles which I have tried are also best used on 300 cp., lanterns, however, other members of this forum have had good results with Butterfly mantles, perhaps the ones which I tried were modern ones.
I have Butterfly no 41 with 500/600 CP markings and those are with white strings. I have also Butterfly bulk packs without any numbers, but same size with white straps. I also have same size with white binding string without any brand at 30 pcs pouch. All of those behave same way. And burn like image-1784987010731.jpg show. I also have Color Butterfly no 41 with 500/600 CP markings and GoldenAnchor 4D 500/600 CP as well without any brand and markings with pink tying strings. And all of those behave appr. same way and burn like image-1784986873075.jpg show. Only difference with Butterfly pouches is that color text. I try remember take tomorrow photo of those. Unburned size is really similar. Perhaps that is weird coincident with my mantles, but could you check if your newer versions has pink binding wire and older white =)
Your first photo shows the Butterfly mantles which I tried and they shrank so much that in my opinion they should only be used on 200 cp., or 300 cp lanterns. I'm not certain if I have tried the second type of Butterfly mantle. The Butterfly mantle which is shown in the third photo looks older and better made. Those Golden Anchor mantles also shrank a lot. I cannot say much of these finnish lanterns. Metallikoura was a small metal workshop, in a place called Koura in Nurmo municipality. (Koura is currently a village in Seinäjoki.) They made also Homelux 300 lamp. That was very close sister model of Hehku 300. They say, Metallikoura made almost everything itself. Including the tank, the cap, the control valve, the vaporizer, and the burner. So, it is not a just Finnished Tilley =) But I'm a pretty sure it's a moderate copy of Tilley and perhaps Vapalux. Metallikoura made these somewhere 1950s I cannot say it is true, but one collector say, there is only made of about 1000pcs of these. (koura mean also grab, big hand etc and metallikoura is metal grapple) The Valmet 300 is a Finnish aircraft factory's filling job from the 1950s. I guess they make more than 1000 pcs =). To me, it remind a bit of Hasag from outside and Petromax at bit from inside. =) There is not much knowledge of these. I can try to find more info, but I'm not so hopeful to find anything more.
I cannot see witch color is your mantle-tie, but as you can see, you named just pink-tied ones to shrink much more. And think the white-tied could be an older, better one. =) But as I say, I'm just making observations, I'm not claiming this is the truth. But this is interesting if it gives the possibility to at least some level predict the properties of the purchased bulk goods. On the other hand, you can deliberately buy some "model" to get, say, 300 C.P. socks in stock.

Thanks for the information about those Finnish firms and there is a range of Finnish tractors which are called Valmet. Those Finnish lanterns would be fine additions to any collection, do you have any images of the Homelux 300 lamp? This link shows one of my hybrid lanterns and it has an Anchor mantle fitted to it and as you can see that mantle has not shrunk much. And what I try to say. It perhaps not matter what brand or not is on the pouch, but if it is from China, that tie color could be markable (or not). Perhaps it told which factory was made mantle or something like that. But at least now to me, pink-tied is more shrinkable version of Chinese mantles =)
That one looks very similar than I get with white-tied versions. And at the moment, all white-tied are behave same way, newer and older. And all pink-tied shrunk much more. And it could be any brand or brandless, but Chinese. No, problem. Unfortunately there is not much info what share. Valmet = Valtion metalli = State metal ~ Finnish metal So, it makes lots of things =) That is from internet. So I do not have it.
Quick test. Pink-tied mantles are indeed quite perfect to the 300 C.P. lantern. Optimus 300 Light is pretty white, even I exposure photo without burningout the whole globe. Now I can believe there is a 300 normal Candle Power... Mantle left a little bigger than if I put it to the 500 C.P. lantern.
One 200 C.P. lantern are in my profile picture =) Primus 991. But at the moment, I have 6,5 cm balls for it, which works pretty well too. And I have Optimus 300, Hasag 351L and Primus 1082-S which can use those Pink-tied versions. Well Primus 1082-S burns nicely also those white-tied versions. But I can try pink-tied ones with my 991 when that current mantle came it's road end.

Mean while... Because I have now meter to measure radiation, I can found thorium mantles from my collection. Well, example all my Fargo mantles are radioactive versions and all my China buyed are not. So, I make few (hundreds) tests. What I found. 1. Thorium mantle not change color, it is "white" all the time. Mantle without thorium, start glow red/orange then yellow and finally "white", if lantern heat power is enough. 2. Thorium mantle reach some kind of constant level and ten more pumps will no longer have any effect. Mantle without thorium keeps brighten almost without limit (of course lantern make limits and mantle could broken). 3. Thorium mantle could reach it perfect glow point pretty low pressure versus non thorium mantle. This made me think of Tilley X246B lantern's and their bulged tanks. Perhaps, if more and more pumping lead a rewarding of more light, user keeps pumping. When used non-thoried mantles. With Thorium mantles you can use your lantern much more flexibly. You don't always have to use it at full power if you don't need a lot of light. Which is also more economical =) But a thorium mantle is not categorically brighter than a non-thorium mantle. It depends which mantle is used at which lantern. The non-thorium mantle is way more specific about which lamp to put it in. Because, if the mantle is too big, it's never reach "white" phase. Thorium mantle glow at "white" anyway, so it give decent light anyway.
So do I. At least older lanterns are designed to use with thorium mantle. And when I use thorium mantle, then I do not need use so much pressure to full glow. So it save energy from me, save fuel, less noise and heat load, usually more and whiter light and more adjustable light because all glowing is white.
Primus 1082 with thorium mantle. White balance is locked (all tests), I make 10 pump hits per picture (well now I put only few) and take a picture. First pictures are taken F8, 1/80s, ISO100 settings and last one F3,5, 1/20, ISO100 settings. Optimus 300 and same method but now non-thorium mantle.
