Hi Guys Just fettling a couple of X246B's for a buddy, and came across this..... Never seen this before. Will any mantle suit this as in, one size fits all or do I order a special BR mantle ( is that a thing ?) Or do I just take a hacksaw to it, cut it down to size and show it whos boss... ??? I think I have a spare one (small) knocking around somewhere. Should I just swap it out. Any and all advice also information will be greatly appreciated. Every thing I know about lamps I learned here.....I know you guys have this. Thanks.
The burner with the long spigot is what Tilley called the 500 series burner, but that did not mean that it was a 500 cp., burner and the first link below shows a proper Tilley 500 cp., burner. The second link shows the 500 series mantle, if you don't have any of the 500 series mantles then perhaps fitting a normal sized spigot is the thing to do. Tilley 500cp., do-nut lamp burner unit. https://classicpressurelamps.com/threads/tilley-164x-500.357/
