Petromax "Halo" fixed thanks to Peerless Mantles.

    Months ago I posted about a problem I was having with a 829 Petromax. Many of you posted & I appreciate all the help.

    I put the lantern to the side but I remembered one of the post that Bob added, saying he only burns Peerless mantles in all his lamps/lanterns.

    I finally got some Peerless 24A's and put one on.

    Problem solved :D/ I guess I learned not all mantles are created equal.

    I've also found Peerless 24A mantles excellent in Petromax 829s. They are a good size, shape very well and the fine weave contains the flame better than any other I have tried. I've posted some mantle comparison photos in another thread.
