Just got this today, haven't had chance to play with it yet. As far as I can gather these were sold in Canada by Home Hardware. I am not sure of the time frame these were sold. I saw on another site that these were a Petromax Clone. Does anyone know anything else about these
Yes, that's what it is and it appears to be of decent quality. It will need a clean and a service, but all going well it should make a good working lantern, Jeff.

Yes these are Hong Kong made Petromax types made by Santromax. Same guys that make the modern Petromax. As far as I know they were being retailed in the 1990s or possibly a bit later. ::Neil::
Nice heavy lanterns, Britelyt in Florida has spare parts for that exact clone. http://shop.britelyt.com/500cp-lanterns/ Some of the Butterfly lantern parts from Survival Supply Canada may also fit, always nice to have a spare globe. Last I looked some Home Hardware stores still had mantles for RT. http://www.survivalpro.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=35 Survival Supply Canada Inc 188 19th Ave Richmond Hill, ON L4E 3P6 905-787-1958
