Hello Here is my HV 1082 marked AR ( 1952 ). Have a few dents here and there but it's a great lamp. Bjørn
I am thinking abut buying a Modell: 1082 350-500 CP. Where do I buy the mantle that fits? Edit- I am also wondering, does this model run on both petrol and kerosene/parafin?
These are kero lanterns. It will work on gasoline of course so it is a safety issue and it would not be safe to run on gasoline. ::Neil::
Thanks for the information Mackburner! I am still wondering where I can get a mantle that fits. I have seen some on Ebay, but I am not quite sure if they fit this model.
Any standard 300-400cp mantle should work. The Optimus 350cp mantles (no. 4a) are perfect and usually available in Sweden from military surplus shops and online auctions.
Would a mantle from Petromax might work? Dont know what type it is, just ses Petromax mantle, gonna ask the seller.
The main thing is to know what cp rating they are for. The brand should not make much difference to whether it works or not. Actually there is difference between brands, but that is related to the brightness of the mantle. There have been long discussions before about which brand is best.
Hello Some information from a member of this forum enabled me to aquire a few a of these Høvik Verk 6439 glass chimneys for the HV 1082.Thank you. And I must say orginal glass looks better. This is one of my favourite lamps. Never any problem. Never a black mantle.Maybe my lucky lamp.. Brgds Bjørn
