    Hello folks,
I picked up this Optimus 200 today from a collectables shop for a very reasonable price. I don't know much about these lamps but it looks fairly complete with the original glass. It seems to be in good condition with only a small dent above the 'P' in Optimus on the tank. Can anyone give an indication of age ? I have had a look in the gallery section and I see there are different variations of these lamps but I am unsure what version my lamp falls under ?
Hope the photos are of interest.
    Thanks
    Dave

If all parts are original to the lamp then it is from the mid 1930s. Maybe as late as 1938. It is what I call a variation 1c as it is the third variation of the first style of 200.

Thanks Jeff and Nils, thats good to know. Quite pleased with this latest find, is a nice proportioned lamp. I had an Optimus 300 a few years ago but traded it on as I never quite liked it for some reason. I will see if I can get some life out of this one and post up the results when I get a chance. Regards Dave
