I think it to be 242 initial types. The tank side has an old sunshine mark, and there is a stamp of 7 and 32. There is a stamp of 6 and 2 at the tank bottom. A check valve is a thing with a coil spring and the cork? not a valve of the Coleman pride. I think that the stop screw of Hood is not original. Regards,Motoshi
The hood may be right but the button has got lost and someone has put a bolt in there to locate it. 242 did not use a mica globe. This was supplied with a straight sided glass cylinder. ::Neil::

Neil, Fred Kuntz makes both a reproduction mica globe and a pyrex globe for the early 242... I think the very first version did come with the mica globe...
