*Edit: Split from . Here's another of these nice lamps from my collection. Note at this one there's an additional ring soldered on the bottom of the fount. I've never seen such a ring before, and it makes this lamp the tallest one I have. It had also the original cardboard box and the manual with it. From the manual I reckon that it must be made in the 1950s as there's no date stamped on the bottom.
This additional ring is very interesting. I think it could have been made for attaching this lamp to a film projector. Please look a Agtas Tahsin site, where he shows very similar Phoebus lantern: http://members.aon.at/agtas/page_3_11.html
