Yes it has taken years but I am finally convinced there actually were 220A and 228A lanterns. So far there is no evidence that they were ever made in Wichita and what made us assume the model never existed was Herb Enendorf insisting it did not. He was probably right as far as the info he had told him because he had little Canadian data. I have still not seen the models in any full line catalogue but the parts are listed in a 1934 Canadian parts catalogue. There is no illustration but they do say the tank and frame are the same as 220 with a list of parts which convert it with a valve and burner similar to the 117A-118A lamps with a T44 Roto type generator. I undestand a few of these have now turned up so it looks like the Canadian guys have done the research to prove a model and convince me and trust me that is no easy thing to do.
