HI there. I bought my first pressure lamp for when I go night fishing. It is an M320 ex MoD equipment. It is in perfect nick (not sure if it has been used to be fair).

Anyhow I watched a Youtube tutorial to find out how to light it. The tutorial explained that on the main tube there is a spindle which when turned, sends a needle up the main tube which pricks the hole in the vaporiser tube clearing it of much and carbon. (it looks like an on/of spindle but isn't).

Anyway. I managed to light it for the first time today but when pressurised paraffin is dripping/leaking from the shaft of this spindle.

Is it a case of changing a seal? Can anybody tell me what seal I need? Any advice?

Hope you are able to help, and many thanks all

    Mark

First try nipping the gland-nut a bit tighter with a small pair of pliers. This will brobably work; not too tight though. Steve.

    Hi Mark

If your lamp continues to leak after trying Shed-Man's advice a V5 washer kit from the Fettle Box will give you what you need.

    Regards, Jeremy
