I had not heard of this. National Feast of Lanterns in Anglesea http://www.campingandcaravanningclub.co.uk/ukcampsites/socialcamping/national-feast-of-lanterns/
Sounds a bit like Ashover minus the tractors, stationary engines, traction engines, lorries, classic cars and all manner of what else...
I looked for pictures on the internet, and I couldn't find a single lantern so it looks like Ashover minus the tractors, stationary engines, traction engines, lorries, classic cars, Tilley lamps and all manner of what else... Which I guess just leaves the fairy lights.
200 miles for me, bit too far if I'm the only one with proper lamps. Plus I don't have a passport so I'm not sure I can even cross the Welsh boarder. Well, I have ventured over, but soon rushed back again, for good reason you understand.
18-30 foam discos... Ibiza... You've lost me David. Let me know when your going to your next one, I'll get me a passport and come with you.
These - surely you've been to hundreds! Anyway, no dice, Matt - if you read CCS you'll know it seems I'm already spoken for (or had I just been rebuffed, I can't remember...)
Oh I don't know might be worth going now, if only to watch Matt jump in and out of his bucket of suds donned in his budgie smugglers whilst surrounded by fairy lights
It grieves me to continue that joke Ray but I must ask, who will be supplying the music? Not the Rod Stewart, Lionel Richie and Blonde tribute acts like last year I hope. Let's leave it there, even I can't stand to think what that would look like.
The club who organise that would probably have a health & safety fit if any of us joined up & attended. Lanterns around a camp-fire? Surely not!
It's only a couple of days after I get back from elsewhere otherwise I might have just gone to test the water... Maybe I'm being a bit slow but I couldn't actually work out their pricing for the event
