Today I went to the customs to look for a lamp coming from US. As I forgot the invoice I had to went back to my office and crossing through a square I saw her, she winked at me, I tried to walk straight but I couldn't resist and I retraced my steps.
I had to think a little: what would my wife say? Would I be in troubles?
Whatever it would happen I wanted her and i wanted to bring her home...
this very good condition Aida 1233 Record.

So, when was it manufactured? Aidas are not frequent here.

    Gratulation Juan,

Don*t listen to your wife's voice,

only listen to your inner voice.

    I think between 1950 and 1960

    Hi Juan,
What can a man do when you get "the wink"? That is just marvelous! Old world craftsmanship. Please post an image once you get her at "full afterburner".

Well, I cleaned the lantern, which was almost unused; it seems it was stored in a kitchen and it had a lot of grease but it was all. I tried it without mantle before and then I used during the night in my garden. I post the pics of it cleaned and working in the Reference Gallery Here
Even the pump leather was fine and it working without need attention for three hours. It was a good buy: perhaps I could pay less in Europe for the lantern itself but for sure I paid (approx 30 eu) much less than than the shipping cost.

Nice lantern, it looks very good. I have one of her sisters awaiting some parts. I hope to have her up and running next week.

In trouble is a married man's default state.

We are used to female domination here in the UK. It is not so very long ago that we had a Queen and Female Prime Minister. At the time I also had a wife and two daughters and even the cat we neutered. So being wrong and always to blame was situation normal. The situation has eased some now that I only have one daughter calling the shots. Got to be careful here though 'cos she owns the house I live in. ::Neil::
