Canadian Pacific Railway lantern

    1417532388-cpr_004.jpg 1417532398-cpr_005.jpg This C.P.R. lantern is pretty hard to come by...
    Dated June 1954. The fount is larger than a regular coleman 247. The ventilator can be interchanged with the 242. :-$

    Perhaps it should have been posted in the Lamp Reference Gallery, though. Where's Christer when you need him... :-k

    :D/ What a nice lamp and i such good condition, considering it belonged to a train-driver and it must be several years since it went out of duty. :thumbup: A really specialized gem with the logo so well-made. This should be moved to the gallery :idea:

    Thanks for the compliments and interest.
    Truthfully, the lantern had a mismatched top.
    I replaced it with the actual 247 that should have been on it. Then replaced the ventilator with one from a 242. What you see is what the original would have looked like. I'm sure you guys are aware that a pristine original is hard to find. This wasn't one but I'm happy to have it :)
