    Hi Folks,

Looking for a Mantle recommendation for an Optimus 1200.

I have stumbled on Coleman Mantles, they seem readily available in the UK.

There is a 20 and 21, any recommendation either way? Or is there another more suitable?

    Alec.

I would go for the more bulb shaped mantle for the Optimus. Brand is not important. Even though the 1200 is rated at 200 to 250 cp, they usually prefer a 300cp mantle.

    Thanks for the tip.

I had it running today with a coleman mantle I use with my Powerhouse 295, not sure what type they are as I bought 3 dozen unmarked ex-military.

    What kind would be bulbous?

Old Coleman Parts has the Optimus #4 mantle, rated for 250 CP.

Also a Peerless 111 or Silklite 1111. Maybe over rated for the 200 CP (Maybe someone will correct me.)

Any that suit Petromax style lamps. There are of course the original branded ones from Optimus, Petromax, etc and then there are all the Chinese brands. I am sure Base Camp will have them, otherwise there are at least a couple of online shops in Germany.
