We lost a great lampie today...

Today I got the sad news that Nico van der List, owner of "De olielamp" in Schiedam, Holland, passed away.
Years ago Nico bought the inventory of the second last lamp shop in Holland, the "Alladin house" in Amsterdam.
His shop was like Aladdins cave, a place you could find the parts you needed, where knowledge was shared.
Nico, you will be missed.

In good tradition I will light a lamp tonight.

We will certainly miss him.

 

A great loss indeed. I've bought parts and fuel several times from him.
