Hi guys, I swapped a Tilley 246A and R1 heater for this Coleman lamp. I loved the look of it when tucked in its box. (Well made home job) I was told it might be a 158 but I have no idea how to tell some of these indoor models apart as a good few of them look very similar to me. A task made even harder with no model number anywhere to be found. So with this i require further expert help from my fellow members. Thanks
Most of these were printed with the model number in paint on the bottom. The month and year are under the Coleman trade mark
Unfortunately this has either come off over time or was never there. There certainly is no evidence of it ever being there.

No Wonder you like the way the lamp was served. The lamp looks to be in fine condititon and the storage looks awesome and pleasing genuine for its time. The TLC put in that box shows the lamp was a treassured object to the owner. I wouldnt change a bit. According to the pillows on each side of the burner, the lamp was obviously fitted with a slim shade of some kind. Thanks for sharing. Claus C
So if it is a 168k what does a 158 look like??? Is there any way to be certain. This one was made 1942. Also if I was to hunt down a globe for this what part/model number would I be after?
158 and 168K have different shaped tanks. Here is an image showing models 156, 157 and 159. I don't have a good image of a 158 but it is the same as 159 except it does not have a built in pump. These models were mostly finished in cream but 158 was also made in the same green as your 168K. The globe is part 355. They are getting to be hard to find now but there are still some about. ::Neil::
