This weekend's score. A near enough complete Blanchard 1000. The burner is dated May 1922. It is actually missing the globe holder and globe but for these images I have borrowed parts from a hand lamp. The fuel feed was blocked but that was just a clogged filter in the tank and was easy enough to clean out. The burner is in pretty good condition and once I fitted a new pricker wire it worked very well. ::Neil::
Indeed it is. So far it is missing the pump. I must be getting old because I found the pump maybe two hours before the lamp and wondered where the lamp was then forgot about the damn pump so that is still in Radstock. There was no globe clamp or globe either but knowing Roger they could be lurking just about anywhere unless of course it never had a globe. I don't think Roger ever had it running. It is as far as I can see the only Blanchard he had so he would not have been familiar with fettling them and given the pricker tip was broken off in the jet I guess he gave up on it because of the difficulty of removing the jet and pricker carrier. ::Neil::
